Singapore Vouchers scheme provides financial assistance through rebates and top-ups to alleviate the financial burden, especially for lower and middle-class people. If you are entitled to the Singapore vouchers, you can receive up to $850 in 2024 to cover the daily expenses.

The Goods and Service Tax has been raised from 8 percent to 9 percent since 1 January 2024. To assist lower-income Singaporeans in managing the inflated cost of living, The Government has enhanced the GST voucher scheme for 2024. The voucher scheme typically covers cash, MediSave,  and U-Save. Under the cash component, eligible individuals will receive enhanced cash payouts of up to $850.

We would like to inform you that all the recipients who qualified for the GSTV last year will not have to undergo any application procedure. If you meet the eligibility criteria for 2024, you will automatically receive a higher cash payout in the forthcoming month. Singapore Vouchers June-July Amount

The primary change for the current year is enhanced cash payouts under the Vouchers Scheme. In 2023, the eligibles used to receive $350 to $700, but this year, the Government will deliver the payment amount ranging from $450 to $850 in cash. Individuals can receive cash assistance through three convenient methods: PayNow-NRIC linked bank account, GovCash, and Bank Crediting.

The tiered payment structure will remain unchanged, with greater benefits allocated to lower-income households. Kindly file the income tax return for the Year of Assessment 2023 duly. This will avoid any delay in receiving the GSTV payout.  Act on these if you have applied to ensure you receive the Cash Components Benefits Smoothly.

Singapore Vouchers Eligibility

Individuals must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Cash Component in 2024.

  • The Claimant must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident residing in Singapore as of the conclusion of 2023.
  • The applicant must be 21 years old or older in the present year.
  • Individuals’ annual income assessed by IRAS for the previous year must not surpass $34,000.
  • The NRIC has stated that the Annual Value of the Home must not exceed $21,000 to be entitled to the cash components.
  • A person owing a single property rather than multiple can enroll in the Scheme.

Note: More benefits will be provided to the citizens who are on a low income, followed by the middle-income households.

CDC and GST Voucher Dates

If you are new to the Voucher Scheme and a Singaporean or a permanent Resident aged 21 or older with an annual income lower than then$34,000 in 2022 and have a house’s annual value of around $21,000, who have never signed up for the GSTV before need to register by 30 April 2024 using the GSTV e-services portal. Singaporeans have been early waiting for the cash component for a long time. This time, the eligibles will be getting an increased amount on the following dates.

It is important to note that the payout will commence in August, and eligible people have until 30 April 2024 to register for a GST voucher or update their bank details using the GSTV e-services portal.

Kindly look at the payment method by which you can receive your cash components.

PayNow-NRIC: This is highly recommended and the quickest way for claims to receive voucher payments. Individuals must link their NRIC to a PayNow account with a foreign or local bank participating in PayNow GIRO in Singapore. Once you have linked your bank account, you will get your GSTV-Cash into the account on 1 August 2024.

Bank Crediting: While claiming, if those who have provided the OCBC, DBS/POSB, or UOB bank account information to the government, the GSTV payment will be credited on 11 August 2024.

GovCash: Clainmnts who do not have PayNow and NRIC linked bank accounts and have not provided the bank details, the Cash will be credited to the GovCash account on 21 August 2024, which can be altered and withdrawn through any OCBC ATM across the country.

Recipients whose bank account details, contact information, or property ownership status have changed since previous registration need to update them before the conclusion of April 2024.
