  • The current 1.5 % wage increase for public sector is far less than the demand and one can not afford anything.

  • I just want to know why Teachers, the educators who work 10 hours a day with marking, planning , extra curricular activities, we maybe have an hour a day with our own family… we get the smallest increase every year… 1.5% last year whilst the municipality got 7.5%… we also struggle, we buy everything that other peoples kids needs to further their education from our own pockets… we do it because we love our kids, our school kids… but we struggle.My husband is a mechanic unqualified.so i am the main source of income. We cannot even send him to get his red seal… there just is not enough money. So I want to know why we as teachers are so UNDERAPPRECIATED…. I give my ALL just to feel like I’m personally getting nowhere….
